Before you start
Keep your Nimzo subscription available privately on this phone. You need internet access to fetch its server list.
Android settings differ between manufacturers. Battery, background-data and VPN settings may use different names on your device.
Your subscription URL is a credential. Anyone who receives it may be able to use your access. Keep it out of screenshots, public chats, browser searches and shared clipboard history. If exposed, ask Nimzo support to replace it.
Based on official client documentation. Controls and operating-system prompts can differ between versions.
Install Happ from its official download hub
Open the official Happ page and follow its Google Play link. If you need its APK distribution, use only the APK linked by that official page and review Android’s installation prompt carefully.
Check the current Android requirements. Do not install a modified client from a forwarded file or disable device security because another site asks you to.

Import your Nimzo subscription
Open the private setup message supplied by Nimzo. If it offers an import link for Happ, open that link and confirm that Happ is the receiving app. Otherwise, copy the complete subscription URL, switch directly to Happ and use its subscription or clipboard import control.
Happ documents clipboard, QR and deep-link imports. Use only the method actually supplied by Nimzo; do not build a deep link yourself or paste the URL into a third-party link converter. After import, confirm that a server list appears. Control names and placement vary by client version.

Approve Android’s VPN permission
Choose a Nimzo server and start the connection. Android can ask permission for Happ to establish a VPN connection. Approve only when you initiated the request inside the trusted client.
Disconnect any other active VPN app before testing. Review any per-app exclusions or routing rules: excluded apps may continue outside the connection. A VPN icon alone does not tell you which routes are included.
Test both networks and background behavior
Compare your public IP before and after connecting, then follow the IP, DNS and IPv6 checks. Test on Wi-Fi and again on mobile data if you use both; a successful result on one network does not establish the result on the other.
Lock the phone briefly, unlock it and recheck the connection. If it drops only in the background, inspect Android’s battery and background-data settings for Happ. Change only the relevant app setting, then retest rather than disabling battery controls for every app.
Finish with a check
A connected badge is only the beginning.
Compare your public IP, inspect DNS results and check IPv6 separately before relying on the setup.
Check your VPN connection →Troubleshooting
Permission prompt never appears
Check whether another VPN is connected or a work profile restricts VPN changes. Reopen Happ and try connecting once. On a managed phone, ask your administrator rather than removing management profiles.
Works on Wi-Fi, fails on mobile data
Confirm Happ can use mobile data and that your carrier connection works with Happ disconnected. Try another supplied server. Record the network type and error for support; never send the subscription URL in a public report.
Stops when the screen locks
Check battery optimization, background activity and data-saver restrictions for Happ. Manufacturer-specific controls may suspend it even after import succeeds. Retest after a lock/unlock cycle and a Wi-Fi-to-mobile-data change.
