This release does not test DNS, IPv6 leaks or WebRTC leaks. An IPv6 address family result is not an IPv6 leak test. For a broader review, use the VPN connection checklist.

Read the result

An address. Not an identity.

Your public IP is the address seen by the diagnostic service for this browser request. It may belong to your internet provider, a VPN, a proxy or a shared network. It is different from the private address your device uses on a local network.

Address family tells you whether this request reached the endpoint over IPv4 or IPv6. Country and ASN describe an approximate location and network registration; they do not locate your device precisely or identify you.

A public IP result does not show whether a VPN is secure, whether every app uses it or whether your DNS requests follow the same route.

How this check works

Only after you choose

The diagnostic runs after an explicit click. Your browser requests a separate diagnostic endpoint, where Cloudflare processes connection metadata to return the public address and available network details.

Results stay with this check

Diagnostic results are held in widget memory and its request flow, not saved as a history on this page. Hosting security logs are separate. The main website’s analytics and support chat remain governed by their existing settings and privacy policy.

No subscription link, payment details or account credentials are needed. Country and network information can be missing or inaccurate. If a check fails, retry when your connection is stable; an error is not a leak result.
